Bringing Cancer Care Closer to Home

RCREB proudly contributes $50,000 to help patients receive treatment right here in Pembroke.

On October 29th, representatives from the RCREB Board of Directors, Staff, and Golf Committee — including Andrew Brotton, Nicole Walters, Wendy Reeves, Dean Burchart, Meghan Kingsbury, and Robyn Voisey — were proud to attend the Grand Opening of the Pembroke Regional Hospital’s new Chemotherapy and Medical Daycare Space.

Over the past five years, our Annual Charity Golf Tournament has raised $50,000 in support of this incredible new facility — a space that now allows many local patients to receive life-saving cancer treatments right here in Pembroke, rather than travelling to Ottawa.

We were deeply moved by the remarks from PRH President & CEO Sabine Mersmann, PRHF Board Chair Lisa Edmonds, Dr. Amanda Williamson, and Michael Blackmore, followed by a tour of the new space.

We couldn’t be more proud of our members, volunteers, and community partners for their ongoing commitment to supporting local charities. Thank you to every business and individual who helped make this possible!
